The coronavirus wreaks havoc in Albania, 12 victims and 525 new cases in the last 24 hours, a black record, like never before since the beginning of the pandemic. The double record for both victims and the infected comes at a time when it was decided to close the site from 22:00 to 06:00 in the morning.

“Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours, 12 citizens with Sars-Cov2 positive have lost their lives in COVID hospitals: a 34-year-old from Durrës, a 66-year-old from Lezha, a 69-year-old and a 77-year-old from Pogradec, a 71 years old from Berat, 51 years old, 56 years old, 69 years old, 75 years old and 78 years old from Tirana, 67 years old from Elbasan, 70 years old from Korça, with concomitant diseases “declares the Ministry of Health.

525 new cases were registered in the following municipalities:

222 cases in Tirana, 38 in Shkodra, 24 in Durrës, 21 cases in Kruja, Vlora, 20 in Berat, 18 in Kukës, 15 cases in Kuçova, Elbasan, 14 in Librazhd, 11 in Lushnje, 10 cases in Korça , Përmet, Malësi e Madhe, Gramsh, 9 in Pogradec, from 8 cases in Kurbin, Kavaja, Skrapar, from 6 cases in Fier, Mat, from 5 cases in Dibër, Peqin, 4 in Tropoja, from 2 cases in Lezha, Saranda , Bulqiza, 1 in Devoll.

Currently in 3 COVID hospitals, 360 patients are being treated, 10 in intensive therapy of which 2 patients are intubated. In the last 24 hours 111 citizens have been cured, bringing the number of cured to 12,203 since the beginning of the epidemic.
