The Greek side has closed the border point from today until December 4. The decision was taken by the Greek government after the addition of cases with Covid.

Meanwhile, the Border Directorate in Korça announces that the movement of pedestrians and vehicles (cars, buses and trucks) will not be allowed both at the entrance and exit of Greece.

“The Greek Police authorities, based on an official notification sent to the Kapshtica Border Police, explain that in implementation of the decision of the Greek government to take measures to cope with the situation created due to the COVID-19 pandemic, from 20.11.2020, at 06:00 in the morning, until 04.12.2020, Kapshtica Border Crossing Point, will be blocked and the movement of pedestrians and vehicles (cars, buses and trucks) will not be allowed as at the entrance “and on the way out of Greece”, it is said in the announcement.

Kapshtica Border Police calls on all citizens who want to travel to Greece, during this time frame, to avoid traveling towards this crossing point.

“Along the road axis Korca-Kapshtica, there will be police forces which will monitor the situation and will not allow the passage of vehicles in the direction of Kapshtica”, the announcement closes.
