Ready for sailing, the largest ship ever built will hit the water this weekend

Kostoja e përgjithshme e ndërtimit ishte 1,046 miliard paund.

Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas is set to be the largest ship ever made and is to touch water after spending over a year in construction. The vessel is now moving into a “wet dock” where development will continue. It was meant to debut in 2021 but with complications from the coronavirus outbreak this has been pushed back to 2022. The vessel can accommodate 6360 passengers and comprises of 7 neighbourhoods – Royal Promenade, Central Park, Boardwalk, Entertainment Zone, Sports Zone, Youth Center complex, Wellness complex. It is nearly 330 ft (101 m) longer than RMS Titanic (904 feet altogether) and 165 ft (50 m) longer than Eiffel Tower at a staggering 1,228 feet! The overall building cost was 1,046 billion pounds. Though seemingly unusual to have new ships under construction considering ships aren’t sailing right now, it is widely regarded by cruise company that the industry will continue to grow once te restrictions are removed and with that a large demand for those who have been waiting.

It was supposed to debut in 2021, but with complications from the coronavirus outbreak this was postponed back to 2022. The ship can carry 6360 passengers and is nearly 330 ft (101 m) longer than the RMS Titanic (904 ft) and 165 ft ( 50 m) longer than the Eiffel Tower. The total cost of construction was 46 1.046 billion.

Although it seems unusual to build new ships given the movement restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is widely considered by the cruise company that the industry will continue to grow once the restrictions are lifted.
