We can now call Geneva the place where everyone wants to live, as the local authorities have decided to increase the salary, to 21 euros per hour.

The minimum wage per month in the Swiss city is expected to go up to 3800 Euros.
The Swiss voted last Sunday to set a minimum wage in the canton of Geneva at 4,086 Swiss francs a month, or about 3,800 euros.
The decision was approved by 58% of the vote, while the same reform had been rejected several times in the past by Swiss voters. France 3 reported that the measures came after the Swiss city, whose economy depends on tourists, was hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

This reform will take effect on October 17 and will benefit 30,000 employees in the canton.
