Një ngjarje e pazakontë ka ndodhur në fshatin Dragostunjë të Librazhdit, ku persona ende të paidentifikuar kanë vjedhur paratë e donuara nga besimtarët me rastin e Fitër Bajramit. Sipas raportimeve, grabitësit kanë hyrë në xhami gjatë paradites së martë, duke thyer një nga dritaret dhe duke marrë shumat e grumbulluara në kasafortën e objektit të kultit.
Besimtarët që mbërritën për t’u falur në xhami konstatuan vjedhjen dhe njoftuan menjëherë autoritetet. Imami i xhamisë e cilësoi këtë ngjarje si një nga më të rëndat e ndodhura në këtë objekt kulti që nga rihapja e tij pas viteve ’90.
Sipas të dhënave, vitin e kaluar besimtarët kontribuan me 3.4 milionë lekë, ndërsa edhe këtë vit shuma e dhuruar ishte e konsiderueshme. Kjo duket se ka nxitur keqbërësit të ndërmarrin veprimin e tyre. Paraprakisht dyshohet se vjedhja është kryer nga disa persona dhe ka qenë e mirëorganizuar.
Banorët dhe besimtarët e zonës kërkojnë nga policia zbardhjen sa më shpejt të ngjarjes dhe vënien para drejtësisë të autorëve. Kasaforta e xhamisë hapet vetëm një herë në vit, zakonisht në fund të dhjetorit, dhe fondet përdoren për të ndihmuar familjet në nevojë.

Mosque in Dragostunjë, Librazhd Robbed: Donations for Eid al-Fitr Stolen

An unusual incident took place in the village of Dragostunjë, Librazhd, where unidentified individuals broke into the local mosque and stole money donated by worshippers for Eid al-Fitr. According to reports, the thieves entered the mosque on Tuesday morning by breaking one of the windows and taking the funds stored in the mosque’s safe.
Worshippers arriving for prayers discovered the theft and immediately notified authorities. The mosque’s imam described the event as one of the most serious incidents to have occurred in the mosque since its reopening in the 1990s.
Data shows that last year, worshippers donated 3.4 million lekë, and this year, the contributions were also substantial. This appears to have motivated the criminals to carry out the theft. Initial investigations suggest that multiple individuals were involved and that the robbery was well-organized.
Residents and worshippers in the area are calling on the police to investigate the case quickly and bring the perpetrators to justice. The mosque’s safe is typically opened only once a year, usually in late December, and the collected funds are used to assist families in need.
The police have launched an investigation and are working to identify the suspects.
