BRITANI- “Dhe BAFTA shkon për… Oppenheimer ”. Këto fjalë janë përmendur nga prezantuesit e ceremonisë së çmimeve të filmit BAFTA gjithsej shtatë herë në Londër të dielën në ceremoninë e organizuar nga aktori skocez David Tennant.

Vitin e kaluar, “All Quiet on the Western Front” arriti numrin rekord të nominimeve në BAFTA me një total prej shtatë fitoresh, duke përfshirë filmin më të mirë, regjinë më të mirë dhe skenarin më të mirë të adaptuar.

Ceremonia e 77-të e çmimeve të filmit BAFTA filloi të dielën vonë pasdite me orën lokale. Kryetarja e BAFTA-s, Sara Putt përshëndeti të pranishmit dhe Princin William, Princin e Uellsit, i cili është dhe president i BAFTA-s në audiencë dhe i uroi shëndet të mirë gruas së tij Kate Middleton dhe mbretit Charles III.

Putt tha gjithashtu se viti i kaluar ka qenë një nga sfidat e mëdha për industrinë e tyre dhe botën, por ajo shtoi me kënaqësi se audienca rizbuloi kinematë, të nxitur nga Barbenheimer.
